Grammarly is a program that checks grammar, style, plagiarism and more. It can be used directly through the official website, or it can be downloaded as an add-on to Microsoft Word. It is reliable and it is great for any purpose regarding writing anyone might have. It has a lot of features and it works fast.
I have found that the add-on works very well and it is easy to use, however it is much more optimized and works much better if you run it through the developer's website. Some features are actually limited in the add-on version. It doesn't have an offline mode, which is also a drawback since it really doesn't need Internet to check grammar, punctuation or style. The only thing it needs an Internet connection for is for the plagiarism detection feature.
Since a lot of spell-checks are built in to everything nowadays, I found that the plagiarism and style features are most useful. The plagiarism check works pretty fast and will show a percentage of material that is copied directly from another source. It sometimes highlights some very common stuff, but overall it does a great job. It is an overall useful program with good features and very easy to use.
